Java Machine Learning Library 0.1.4 released

In this release we made major improvements to the documentation of various classes and packages. We have improved the javadoc of a number of classes and we have added a quite a few new tutorials.
We have also upgraded the bundled weka to version 3.6.0.

The PDF version of the manual is now included in the main distribution.

In this release we bring again quite some improvements to the library. Most important to note is that we have modified the structure of the feature selection package to better reflect the classification of feature selection algorithms and we have added some feature selection algorithms.

This release features a number of improvements. We have added a few classifiers and a feature selection algorithm. We have increased the number of regression tests, fixed a number of bugs, written extra documentation and implemented a number of stand-alone tutorials.

This release offer a new distance algorithm. The Fast dynamic time warping algorithm by Salvador and Chan has been included in the library.

The FileHandler class can now also be used to export data to a file.

Java-ML website

We are proud to announce that we moved the website for Java-ML from my personal hosting to Sourceforge.

All data is hosted on the same platform and on the same servers. The website is based on Drupal.
Main features of this new website:

  • Documentation in Wiki-style
  • API documentation as generated by javadoc
  • Issue tracking for bugs and feature requests
  • Support to incorporate sub-projects on particular algorithms or features
